Miners, merchants, families, and dreamers built a community in the heart of the
Mother Lode. Their letters, tools, culture, and keepsakes are still here because
someone cared enough to save them.
For 70 years, the Tuolumne County Historical Society and Museum has preserved
the memories and artifacts of days gone by in our county. Every month, our out
reach program brings a guest speaker to the community, free to the public, to share
the fascinating history of this wonderful part of California.
In celebration of our 70th Anniversary, a $70 donation seems fitting for our Giving
Tuesday campaign. Your gift helps offset the costs of speakers, printing, storage and
ongoing research at the publicly available Historicial Research Center. And most
importantly, it keeps our history close to home.
