Your membership
supports the preservation of Tuolumne County history through its
programs and activities. The Society publishes books and pamphlets,
presents programs on our history, provides for scholarships and
writing awards, conducts annual tours for 4th grade
students, influences landmark preservation, operates the Tuolumne
County Museum and History Center, is a resource for research, and
puts on an annual Lamplight Dinner and program to name a few.
Four levels of
membership are provided:
The GENERAL membership
level provides for basic support of the organization for its
programs and activities.
The PATRON and
BENEFACTOR membership supports the organization beyond the basic
level. It enhances the Society’s ability to provide services
related to its mission. Your participation in these levels of
membership is encouraged.
LIFE membership
provides for a onetime significant contribution and membership in
the Society for life.
All members receive the
quarterly publication Chispa, the Quarterly of the Tuolumne County
Historical Society solely for accounts of local history, the
newsletter Historian, and discounts on some TCHS publications.
Each membership
category includes all family members at one address.
